Robot

I grew up surrounded by movies where robots and creatures from outer space were always the stars of the show. Those movies inspired me to make my own menacing, defiant and almost human-looking robot. I used the original concept design as a basic reference but changed the shapes of body parts as I created the sugar model. The “Threading” technique I developed to build up the character can be used to create your own interesting, animated models. This figurine is entirely made out of pastillage.  

Recuerdo pasar mi niñez viendo películas de ciencia ficción, donde los robots y las criaturas de otros planetas eran los protagonistas. Estos personajes me inspiraron a la hora de crear mi propio robot; amenazador, desafiante y con cierta apariencia humana. Usé el boceto original como referencia pero, en el momento de hacer la figura de azúcar, cambié las distintas partes del cuerpo. La técnica de ensamblaje con alambre que he desarrollado para construir el personaje, puede servir para crea tus propios modelos animados. Esta figura está completamente hecha con pastillaje.
