Ants / Hormigas

This is a special cake made for the Spanish TV Show “El Hormiguero”. The three popular ants Trancas, Barrancas and Petancas are the main characters of the show and this is my sugar version. I am sure all Spanish followers know them very well. 

Esta tarta es un regalo para el programa de televisión El Hormiguero. En ella no podían faltar las divertidas hormigas Trancas, Barrancas y Petancas. Seguro que todos los seguidores españoles las conocen perfectamente.

Vintage housewife / Ama de casa vintage

Elio and I would like to share with all of you our “vintage housewife” figurine, specially designed for my first workshops at Peggy Porschen´s Academy.

This topper and the previous one “Il Cuoco” are our little tribute to everyone involved in cooking and baking. 

Elio y yo quisiéramos compartir con todos vosotros nuestra “ama de casa vintage”, especialmente diseñada para mis primeros cursos en la academia de Peggy Porschen en Londres.

Esta figura, junto con la del cocinero que aparece en el post anterior, son nuestro pequeño homenaje a todas aquellas personas que se dedican al mundo de la cocina y la pastelería.  

Il Cuoco

This is a sneak preview of my latest creation. I called it “Il Couco” (the cook in Italian) because it is designed to be unveiled in the Cake Design Italian Festival in Milan. The idea is to customize the figurine of the cook to the country and to choose different traditional dishes to carry on this tray. In this case, pasta is the chosen dish.

Both versions, in Spanish and Italian of Animation in Sugar are currently available to order online. Many thanks to those who have been patiently waiting. I hope you enjoy the book.

Este es un Adelanto de mi última creación. La he llamado “Il Couco” (El cocinero en italiano) porque está diseñada para ser presentada en el Cake Design Italian Festival en Milán. La idea es acomodar la figura del cocinero al país donde se vaya a realizar y elegir diferentes platos tradicionales para que lleve en la bandeja. En este caso, el plato elegido es pasta.

The quest for food / En busca de comida

This is another project from Animation in Sugar. I am very glad to announce that the Italian and Spanish versions are ready to be published within the next weeks.

I came up with this idea after living in an old house in Edinburgh where I would often find mice in the kitchen. The mice were as cute as the ones I made in this scene but of course I couldn´t let them stay.

Este es otro proyecto de Animation in Sugar. Os anuncio que las versiones en italiano y español ya están listas y empezarán a publicarse en las próximas semanas.

La idea de este proyecto surgió después de vivir en una casa vieja en Edimburgo donde, de vez en cuando, encontraba algún ratón por la cocina en busca de comida. Estos ratoncitos eran tan simpáticos como los que aparecen en esta escena aunque, eso sí, los reales eran mucho más asustadizos.
